SRX4707106: RNA-Seq of N. caerulescens La Calamine accession Shoot under Cd
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina HiSeq 2000) run: 15.1M spots, 1.5G bases, 976.7Mb downloads

Design: Total RNA was extracted using RNeasy Plant Mini kit (Qiagen). RNA samples were analyzed using Bioanalyzer (Agilent) to ensure adequate RNA quality and quantity. RNA libraries were prepared using Illumina TruSeq RNA-Seq Sample Prep Kit following manufacturer's instructions. Libraries were pooled, multiplexed and sequenced using the Paired End Clustering protocol with 51x2 cycles.

Study: Root and shoot transcriptomes of two Noccaea caerulescens accessions exposed to cadmium.
show Abstracthide Abstract
The aim of this study was to compare Cd responses and allocation at a similar plant-internal Cd concentration between N. caerulescens accessions Ganges and La Calamine, in order to better understand why these accessions exhibit contrasting adaptations to calamine soil. To this end we compared the distribution of Cd over leaf tissues and cell types, as well as the Cd-induced transcriptomes of roots and shoots.
